Happy Labor Day Weekend!

It’s the last big holiday weekend of the summer, but don’t worry — we’ve got lots of fun planned for the month of September here at the Commander and JJ’s Pub!  Start it off with some great live music over Labor Day weekend as we welcome “5 Minute Major” on Friday and Saturday nights, and “Them Pesky Kids” on Sunday night at the Commander.  And don’t miss Mark Stary at JJ’s Pub after Bar Bingo on Saturday!  JJ’s will be open on Sundays starting September 11th for Vikings games.  And you won’t want to miss the Pelican Lakes Conservation Club’s 9th Annual Kraut Fest at JJ’s on Saturday, September 17th!  Check our calendar of events and our Facebook page for all the details.  We hope to see you!

Sweet Corn & Kielbasa Feed

The Pelican Lakes Conservation Club is having their Annual Sweet Corn and Kielbasa Feed on the JJ’s Pub “Patio” this Saturday, July 30th, starting at Noon.  For $7.00 you can have your fill of delicious sweet corn along with an expertly grilled sausage.  Please be sure to come out and support this great organization!

Decade 7 Tonight!

Due to a cancellation, we’re excited to have Decade 7 at the Commander tonight (July 23rd) at 8:30!

Happy Weekend!

Just a quick note to let you know that the Commander will be closing at Noon on Saturday, July 16th, for a wedding reception (congratulations to the happy couple!).  We will be open again at 9:30pm for “Vintage Raggs”!  JJ’s Pub is open at Noon on Saturday, so be sure to join us there for Bar Bingo at 2pm, Two-for-One Happy Hour from 5 to 7pm, and Live Entertainment from 5 to 9pm with “Platinum FM”.  Have a great weekend!

July 4th Weekend!

Join us for 3 big nights of LIVE entertainment with “Hitfaced” at the Commander Friday through Sunday, July 1st, 2nd and 3rd! Jud Hailey will be appearing at JJ’s Pub on Saturday after Bar Bingo, and Commander Karaoke is coming up on Monday, July 4th at 7pm. And starting this week (June 30th), DJ Josh is here with Karaoke every Thursday night after Commander Bar Bingo.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

The first big holiday weekend of the summer is here! Don’t miss 3 nights of great live entertainment with “Sell Out Stereo” at the Commander Friday through Sunday, May 27th, 28th and 29th, and “The Hunyuckers” at JJ’s Pub on Saturday, May 28th! We’ll also have the JJ’s Pub Meat Raffle on Friday night, Bar Bingo (also at JJ’s) on Saturday at 2pm, and Commander Karaoke on Monday night at 7pm. Come join us for all the fun!

Customer Appreciation!

Our Commander and JJ’s Pub Customer Appreciation Hog Roast is coming up on Saturday, May 7th! We’ll have free pork sandwiches from noon until they’re gone, and lots of prizes to give away. Stop by and see us under the tent on the JJ’s Pub patio!

The Commander and JJ’s Pub will be closed on Easter Sunday so that our employees can celebrate the holiday with their families. But if you need to entertain some relatives Friday & Saturday we’re here to help! We’ve got live entertainment both nights, great food, and Bar Bingo on Saturday afternoon! Happy Easter!

St. Patrick’s Day!

You’ll have two chances to celebrate St. Patty’s Day this year at the Commander!

Join us on Saturday, March 12th, for Green Beer, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Stew, and $4 Irish Cow Shots. Enjoy “Platinum FM Acoustic” at JJ’s Pub from 5-9pm, and “Hitchville” at the Commander starting at 9:30pm.

Come back on St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, March 17th, for all the same specials, and enjoy an exciting round of Bar Bingo at 6:30pm. (Isn’t the green bingo dauber supposed to be lucky on March 17th?)
