The Commander will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd, and there will be no Commander Bar Bingo this week, but JJ’s Pub will be opening at 6pm Thursday night. Stop by after your Thanksgiving dinner for a cold one! Whatever your plans are, we hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Kraut Fest 2018!

Join us at JJ’s Pub for the Pelican Lakes Conservation Club’s 11th Annual Kraut Fest on Saturday, September 22nd! The PLCC will be serving up pork sandwiches, beans, German potato salad and SAUERKRAUT for just $6.00 per person. Come out and support this great organization. The fun starts at noon in front of JJ’s Pub. We hope to see you there!

It’s Labor Day Weekend!

Make the most of the last holiday of the summer with a full three-day weekend of fun at the Commander and JJ’s Pub!  We kick things off with the Pelican Lakes Conservation Club’s Meat Raffle at JJ’s Pub starting at 5:30 on Friday.  Friday and Saturday there’s a party at the Commander with “Brat Pack Radio” from 9:00pm to 1:00am.  JJ’s Pub Bar Bingo is at 2pm on Saturday, and music by Mark Stary follows at 5pm.  Sunday night at 9:00pm “Them Pesky Kids” continue the party at the Commander.  And we’ll end the weekend on Monday night with Commander Karaoke at 7:00pm! Enjoy!

Come on out to the Commander in Breezy Point to sing your heart out and win some moola!!  Karaoke is every Sunday at 7:00pm (Monday on Memorial weekend) and prior to the finals, you will need to qualify on one of the following nights: Sunday, May 20th, Monday, May 28th, or Sunday, June 3rd.  Finals will be held Sunday, June 10th.

Bring all of your friends and family for support!  You must be 21 or older to participate in the contest, but if you’re under 21, you can cheer on your favorite contestant until 10PM.  Just a couple of rules: You must register on one of the qualifying nights, no instruments, you must use Commander’s Karaoke music, and most importantly – have fun!  If you have any questions call Matt Dobias 320-493-5779

Customer Appreciation Day

Be sure to stop by on Saturday, May 5th for our Customer Appreciation Day! We’ll be giving away prizes and serving pork sandwiches starting at Noon. Commander Golf Tournament

 Attention Commander Golfers: Due to the very late start to Spring, we’re sorry to say that our tournament on April 28th is cancelled. The golf course manager at Breezy has let us know that the course will not be able to be prepped and ready in time for play on the 28th. Any of you who have already paid your entry fees will be receiving refunds. If you have any questions, please call Paul at the Commander at 218-562-4198. See you next year!! 

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

We’ve got a couple of fun holiday weekends coming up here at the Commander and JJ’s Pub! Stop by for JJ’s Bar Bingo on Saturday, December 23rd for your chance at the $1669 jackpot. Bingo starts at 2pm. Enjoy the music of Joel Edwin after bingo and watch the Vikings take on the Packers at 7:30pm. On Friday & Saturday party with “Music Junkies” at the Commander starting at 9pm. On Sunday, Christmas Eve, JJ’s will be closed, but the Commander will be open until 4pm (the kitchen closes at 1pm), and both JJ’s and the Commander will be closed on Christmas Day.

New Year’s weekend we’ve got Lisa Wenger playing at JJ’s after Bar Bingo on Saturday. and three nights of great entertainment at the Commander with “Vintage Raggs” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday — New Year’s Eve! Our New Year’s Eve dinner special are Osso Bucco with mashed potatoes, 5oz Tenderloin & Shrimp Scampi with choice of potato or wild rice, and 8oz Sirloin & Lobster Tail with choice of potato or wild rice. Don’t miss the Pelican Lakes Conservation Club’s 10th Annual Kraut Fest coming up this Saturday, September 23rd! They’ll be serving up pork sandwiches, beans, German potato salad, and sauerkraut, all for only $6.00! And be sure to try a slice of Kraut cake for an extra dollar. The fun starts at noon in front of JJ’s Pub!

Commander Holiday Events

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season and let you know about what’s coming up over the next couple of weeks. Friday, December 23rd, stop by JJ’s Pub for the meat raffle at 5:30, and party with “Pandemic” at the Commander starting at 9:30. On Saturday December 24th, the Commander will be closing at noon, but JJ’s Pub will be open for the Vikings-Packers game. The kitchen will be open during the game.
