Don’t miss the Pelican Lakes Conservation Club’s 10th Annual Kraut Fest coming up this Saturday, September 23rd! They’ll be serving up pork sandwiches, beans, German potato salad, and sauerkraut, all for only $6.00! And be sure to try a slice of Kraut cake for an extra dollar. The fun starts at noon in front of JJ’s Pub!

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season and let you know about what’s coming up over the next couple of weeks. Friday, December 23rd, stop by JJ’s Pub for the meat raffle at 5:30, and party with “Pandemic” at the Commander starting at 9:30. On Saturday December 24th, the Commander will be closing at noon, but JJ’s Pub will be open for the Vikings-Packers game. The kitchen will be open during the game. So come out and cheer on the Vikes during the final game of the season! The Commander and JJ’s will both be closed on Christmas Day (so no karaoke on Sunday night). And make your plans to spend New Year’s Eve at the Commander with “Vintage Raggs”. It’s the last big holiday weekend of the summer, but don’t worry — we’ve got lots of fun planned for the month of September here at the Commander and JJ’s Pub!  Start it off with some great live music over Labor Day weekend as we welcome “5 Minute Major” on Friday and Saturday nights, and “Them Pesky Kids” on Sunday night at the Commander.  And don’t miss Mark Stary at JJ’s Pub after Bar Bingo on Saturday!  JJ’s will be open on Sundays starting September 11th for Vikings games.  And you won’t want to miss the Pelican Lakes Conservation Club’s 9th Annual Kraut Fest at JJ’s on Saturday, September 17th!  Check our calendar of events and our Facebook page for all the details.  We hope to see you!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Commander and JJ’s Pub! We’ll be closed on Thursday so that everyone can enjoy the day with friends and family, but we look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Don’t miss our big Commander Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31st, with entertainment by “Audio Circus”! The costume contest will be judged around 11pm with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, so come dressed in your most awesome creation! And for our friends in the hospitality business who have to work that night (or anyone else who loves to have fun!), we’re having a pre-Halloween Bash at JJ’s Pub on Tuesday, October 27th! We’ll have a costume contest with cash prizes and music by “The Soupbones”. We hope to see you!
